Dr. Hweidi Is an Associate Professor in Plastic & Reconstructive
Surgery at Ain Shams University. He has been an active consultant and
staff member since 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟒.
Dr. Hweidi graduated in 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒 and he received his basic surgical
training as a Plastic surgery resident at the University hospitals. He
obtained his master’s Degree in Surgery in 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟗. In the same year he
passed his “MRCS” exam and became a Member of the Royal College of
Surgeons in England. He then moved to the United Kingdom and
worked for the NHS (National Health Service) for 3 years. Working as a
Specialist Registrar in the UK allowed him to receive advanced training
in both Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery under the supervision of
the pioneers of the Plastic surgery speciality.
He was Board certified by the European Board of Plastic,
Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in Brussels in 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑. A
year later he obtained his MD (PhD) degree in Plastic Surgery in a
collaborative project with the University of Liverpool.
Dr. Hweidi has many published papers and book chapters in Plastic
Surgery journals, as well as presentations in conferences worldwide.
He is a full member of the Egyptian Society of Plastic & Reconstructive
Surgery (ESPRS) since 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟒.
In 𝟐𝟎𝟏5 Dr. Ahmed took over the Hweidi Plastic Surgery Centre in the
heart of Heliopolis, where he underwent massive rejuvenation as the
lead surgeon. Hweidi’s clinic has been operating since 1991 with two
generations, specialized mainly in Reconstructive Surgery along with
Plastic surgery & Aesthetic surgery. This made both generations able
to help many people to overcome sequels of accidents, burns & birth
defects or other problems that hindered them from fitting in.
Today, almost 30 years later, Hweidi Plastic Surgery continues to hold
the same values and promises to our patients.
Regarding areas of expertise, Dr. Hweidi Leads the Reconstructive
Microsurgery team in the University Hospital Setting, where he
operates once weekly.
On the other hand, in his private practice he is doing a lot of facial
aesthetics including, face & neck lifts, blepharoplasties and rhinoplasties, together with his signature Scar Face revision. He also
does a lot of body contouring and breast procedures.
