Education & Early Career:
- 1996: Mr. Konstantinos Benetatos entered the Military Medicine (SASS) program at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, after sitting for the national Greek examination.
- 2002: He graduated and began fulfilling his military duties as a Doctor Officer, providing valuable services in Rhodes and within the NATO Force of Greece in Afghanistan for two years.
Specialization in Plastic Surgery:
- 2006: Mr. Benetatos began his specialization in Plastic Surgery at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, and later continued his training at Agios Savvas Cancer Oncology Hospital.
- 2008-2012: Mr. Benetatos advanced his training abroad in the UK. He specialized in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the Nottingham University Hospital (Queen Medical Center). He worked alongside prominent surgeons and honed his skills in a variety of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, focusing on:
- Breast surgery
- Hand surgery
- Reconstruction of cleft lip and palate
- Trauma and burn surgery
- Reconstruction of large deficits after trauma or cancer resection in areas such as the head and neck, breast, and limbs, as well as the treatment of sarcomas.
Fellowships & Recognitions:
- 2008-2012: He gained invaluable experience in Breast Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery under the guidance of notable surgeons, including Mr. G. Perks and Mr. P. Hollows. During this time, he successfully completed over 120 microsurgical procedures, specializing in free tissue transfer for areas such as the face, skull, oral cavity, and breast.
- 2011: After passing the Royal College of Surgeons examinations, Mr. Benetatos became a Fellow of the European Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Community and was appointed as a Senior MicroFellow at Nottingham University. He worked in the Breast Institute and the Oral and Maxillofacial Department (ENT).
- 2012: Mr. Benetatos became a member of the American Society of Microsurgery, receiving recognition for his contributions to microsurgery.
- 2012: After successful examinations, he received the official title of Plastic Surgeon in Greece and began working as a Plastic Surgery Consultant at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, performing numerous microsurgical reconstruction procedures.
Private Practice & Aesthetic Surgery:
- Mr. Benetatos runs a busy aesthetic private practice, specializing in facial aesthetic surgery (including Deep Plane Facelifts, Open Rhinoplasties, Blepharoplasties, and Endoscopic Brow Lifts) and breast aesthetic surgery.
